A Thousand Cuts
A Thousand Cuts
Maria Ressa Commands The Truth In Award Winning Documentary,
‘A Thousand Cuts’, Post-Production By TBD Post
In A Thousand Cuts, director Ramona S. Diaz tells the remarkable, dangerous, and true story of Filipino-American journalist Maria Ressa as she investigates the Philippines’ president, Rodrigo Duterte and the corruption that surrounds his leadership.
TBD Post’s Brandon Thomas, Dusty Albertz, Brad Engleking, and Dennis Valk were behind some of the magic that made this 2020 Gotham Awards Best Documentary winner happen.
Colorist, Brandon Thomas, sets an ominous tone using shadowy blues and greens to heighten sinister parts of this documentary, while effectively showing hope and optimism in other clips using brighter highlighted tones.
“A Thousand Cuts is a project that we’re all very happy to help bring to life via picture and sound. It’s one of those films that grabs you and demands your attention and your best work.” says Brad Engleking
We’re excited for all of you to experience the extraordinary story that A Thousand Cuts tells, and see TBD Post’s editing skills in action.
